I got the opportunity to photograph Dustin Pedroia and Terry Francona at Fenway Park for a breakfast with fans sponsored by Dunkin Donuts. During the event fans got breakfast and to try the new Dark roast coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Fans also got the one on one time to meet both Dustin and Terry as well as ask a Q&A. We got to see 3 new commercials coming out soon and man are they funny!!! i wont touch the dark roast coffee cause it’ll make me sick but i like everything else better then starbucks nasty crap. 114th Boston Marathon

April 19, 2010! Went to Heartbreak Hill which is close to Newton and the most hardest part on the marathon. After they reach the top of this hill it’s all down hill to the finish line. I now know how it feels except i walked most of the day and if your wondering i walked around 7 miles that day thanks to cops and idiot subway people. Maybe in a couple years you’ll see me out there Until then heres my images from the event

Let me tell you how freaken awesome this concert was! I’ve been a fan of ryan’s since i was 14 so to have the opportunity to be so close to him was amazing. he’s still such a wonderful singer and i hope he makes it back in the industry with a successful come back. Samantha was excellent too she’s an 18 year old folk singer from canada. What a great concert with both of these two together.

International World Pillow Fighting Day is an event held once a year in a park in most cities and even places around the world. It’s a unique event that’s free for everyone to participate in. This year the event was held in Cambridge Commons in Cambridge, MA right near the Harvard T stop. People go insane once that alarm goes off! and it goes on and on for exactly one hour.

LOVED, LOVED,LOVED this event but hated that I didnt have a media pass so i had to wait for all the madness to go by then sneak my way in with my fiance acting like we were a couple dress shopping. It was crazy how fast these dresses disappeared and how many women just stripped down in their lingerie to find the dress of their dreams at a very good deal! I had the experience of going back later in the day to shop for myself and i found one dress that i wish i could have had. It was originally $5,000… marked down to $800!!!

Your probably reading this and going Quidditch? Isn’t that from harry potter? Did she get photos of the cast? To answer your minds questions I didn’t photograph anyone from the movie or cast. I photographed Emerson College playing the game!! No they don’t fly around but still they have everything else that goes with the game. **VIDEO COMING SOON**

Muggle Quidditch is a co-ed sport based on Quidditch. It is popular with fans of the novels, fictional sports aficionados, and children. In Muggle Quidditch, as in Wizard Quidditch there are four positions on a team. Due to the fact that Wizarding Quidditch is based on fictional devices and concepts such as magic, Muggle Quidditch has been adapted for play on the ground.

Intercollegiate Quidditch Association – Founded on the campus of Middlebury College, in Vermont, the Intercollegiate Quidditch Association is the outgrowth of wildly popular on-campus tourneys. The Association currently encompasses 226 schools including Vassar College, Marlboro College, Emerson College, and Bucknell University.

The equipment in Muggle Quidditch varies depending on venue. Often three hula hoops held up by PVC pipes are used as the goals on either side of the playing field. Volleyballs, basketballs and dodge balls are often used as Quaffles. Beaters may use tennis rackets to ‘serve’ the Bludgers. Beaters also may use dodge balls to simulate the Bludgers, while still allowing precise aim. In more extreme versions of the game, Bludgers are eliminated and the beaters are allowed to tackle the chasers and other players (seeker and keeper are generally off limits when tackling.) While the Snitch is a magical object within the canon of the Harry Potter novels, in Muggle Quidditch the Snitch is most often a sort of neutral player, usually dressed in all gold, sometimes adorned with wings. The Snitch, after release, is usually allowed to roam an area beyond the playing field.

Positions in Muggle Quidditch:

* Chasers are responsible for passing the Quaffle and scoring points by throwing the Quaffle through one of the opponent’s goals. Three or four chasers from a team may be in play at one time. When a Bludger hits a Chaser in possession of the Quaffle, he or she must throw the Quaffle into the air.

* Keepers are the goal protectors (similar to goalkeepers in football) and must try to block attempts to score by the opposing team’s Chasers. One keeper from a team may be in play at a time. In most versions of the game, the keeper is invulnerable to Bludgers when within a reasonable distance of his/her teams’ hoops. In other versions, when the keeper is hit by a bludger from the opposing team while that team is in scoring range, the keeper must freeze for 2–3 seconds to simulate the recovery time in magical Quidditch.

* Beaters attempt to hit the opposing team’s players with Bludgers and attempt to block the Bludgers from hitting their team’s players. Two Beaters on a team may be in play at a time.

* Seekers attempt to catch the Golden Snitch, set into play during the game. (In some variations the snitch is released at halftime, in others at an undisclosed time.) Seekers may play as Chasers before the Snitch’s release.

So by now we already know that Boston College won the frozen four! At this game it was right after they had one the bean pot so this game was going to be intense! The game was sold out and many fans came to cheer on the Huskies and Eagles.

Now tell me how this wasn't a penalty?

Norfolk Trip

Finally i made it down to Norfolk, Virginia!!! Mostly went down for work to do with my portraiture stuff but i did get to photograph the norfolk admirals and bridgeport sound tigers practice. Definatly was very interested haha got some photos i haven’t gotten before (gross one) and i had to be security and open the door for 4 of the players who couldnt get off the ice that was nice haha especially since they just starred at me like whos this girl? we haven’t seen her before? This was my first time going to a professional lacrosse game and man am i hooked. I already knew somewhat about the sport since my brother played in high school. I never knew their could be such brutal sport at this level, these guys were fighting like it was ice hockey and jumping off onto the boards like basketball players scoring off a slam dunk. The Boston Blazers sure have a new fan on their hands And i hope they beat Buffalo on saturday night (4/24) cause then we are going into playoffs!! I didnt get much good shots here due to my lens but i sure hope i get better ones if they do make it. Blazers lost this night 13-10
